Since Jing seems to be boycotting youtube, here is yesterdays daily create.
Wow… just wow. I never realized just how much work and planning went into making a radio show. We started by brainstorming what we even wanted to broadcast. From there we actually just started winging it before we realized… “Crap, we should write a script.” So we did. Photo Credit
We finally figured out a process and uploaded our stuff to google docs so that all members could work on it together without having to be face to face.
Our plan so far:
The hardest part (so far) was trying to piece together a bumper. That took so tedious editing, clipping, listening, listening, listening, editing, listening, and finally clipping to get the thing to sound right. Stay tuned though… cause this is gonna be good!
Without further ado, the first 5 or so minutes of our radio show. Complete with an outtake and terrible commercial that will most likely be scratched, rewritten, and re-recorded.

For those of you who enjoy a good meme and artistic riffing off of another’s work, you might be interested to look at this site. Sam Spratt takes a popular meme and paints it in a more realistic way. At least it is his interpretation of it…
Are these new nightmare fuel? If it is, here is some eye bleach. If not, just enjoy.
There is also a video of him doing “speed painting” here. It is also embedded below for the lazy… try to give him a little traffic to the site though!

I debated for a while about which movie I wanted to reduce and couldn’t make up my mind. So I asked my girlfriend and she inspired me. So… think you can guess what it is?
The first person to guess correctly gets 1000 “Whose Line Is It Anyway?™” points!
Process: First I searched all over The Noun Project to find the symbols I needed, but two of them weren’t there. So without complete luck I turned to the almighty google and practiced my best google-foo. From there I found the icons I needed, saved them to my computer, and started up the reliable photoshop. I had to cut out the icons from ‘noun project’ to isolate the actual icon from the rest of the website. After that was all done I uploaded them all to chogger to create the four icons. I had to do a bit of resizing, but that was very simple. The final product is what you see above.
Here are the stickers. Look for an edit with the thought process. I’ll tweet out when I finish the edit. For now, enjoy!
This assignment hit me in the head, in much the same way that a brick falling would, on the way back to my apartment after class tonight. For some odd reason my mind wandered to the posters I had seen around the Quarter Deck at my last command; they were “modern” propaganda posters. “Lose Tweets Sink Fleets”, “Someone Tweeted!”, “Keep Social Media Where It Belongs!”, etc.
I then decided that ds106 needs to have propaganda posters, because let’s be honest… it’s something we can all see Jim Groom doing. So…without further ado… here are my two DS106 Propaganda posters. More to come from me I think later on.
You heard the poster... tweet on!
MWAHAHAHA! I can just feel the brainwashing taking effect! Anyway… tutorial to come!

That is this week in review of the daily creates!
Gotta love those Blue Birds. They provide so many opportunities for amazing photography.
I used picnik and photoshop for this assignment. Initially I uploaded the picture into photoshop and enhanced the blue-ness (is that a word?) of the blue bird. I then uploaded it into picnik and meticulously removed all of the color around the bird to give the vibrant contrast of blue on black/white.
